Future Seekers Statement of Beliefs and Purpose
1. We believe that a teen can receive eternal life in Heaven by acknowledging 4 truths from the heart. These include:
- acknowledging that all have sinned against God.
- acknowledging that God sent His only sinless Son, Jesus Christ to pay for our sin penalty, when Christ died on the cross of Calvary!
- acknowledging that we need to repent, or turn away from sin as Christ commanded.
- acknowledging that we need to ask Jesus Christ to come in and take full control of our life, which we cannot do ourselves.
2. We believe that Jesus Christ is the virgin born son of God, brought into this world without sin and remained sinless during His 33 1/2 years on earth.
3. We believe that the Bible is the 100% errorless word of God, and is accurate in all accounts. It gives God's plan for our salvation and our guideline for living.
4. We believe in a literal Heaven for those who trust Chist as Saviou and a literal Hell, originally created for Satan and his demons, for those who reject Christ's offer of Salvation through Himself only.
5. We believe that at anytime now Christ will take those who know Him as Savior out of this earth and into Heaven to be with Himself. Those who reject Christ's free offer of Salvation will be left behind and go through a 7 year tribulation perion of pain, sorrow and separation from God.
6. We believe that once a person accepts Christ as Savior, then the Holy Spirit lives within that person, and a new life has begun. A Christians' life should be "Christ like" in word, thought and action. When a person does act upon their own desires and sins against God, then forgiveness is offered when that person confesses the sin and asks God to forgive.
